Hi everyone,

We\'ll be rolling out a series of upgrades over the next week which should greatly improve the situation.

The first of these upgrades was rolled out tonight, and reduces the amount of data sent to clients. If you\'re having problems then make sure you have your filter settings (in the view pane) set to only show the active route; this should now significantly reduce the amount of data requested and will be less likely to time out.

There are more changes and upgrades to our servers to happen. We will keep you updated.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Apologies for the problems you\'ve been having.

Sorry you\'ve been having problems.
We\'re looking at improving the databases of routes on the system in the near future and that should hopefully improve matters.
Bear with us; we\'re working on it.

The service is now becoming unusable. I have tried for the last two hours to load my map and edit the final revisions. I would be happy to pay a higher subscription for a more reliable service, but at present I have nothing I can use.

Hi,

Are you attempting to log in from a work network or similar? Sometimes company networks route different types of traffic through different proxy servers and this can cause problems.

If you could let us know which browser and version you\'re using that will help us identify the problem.

Thanks

I\'m really getting frustrated! The message \'Data sent to sent to the server appears not to be getting through\' appears with ever-increasing frequency - sometimes after the insertion of every two or three nodes/waypoints. Things are so bad that I sometimes give up and switch to \'Wheresthepath\'. Also, Grough sometimes refuses to save a route.

Thanks for the tip about moving the map to display routes - it works every time.

I\'m using Chrome on a MacMini with OS 10.8.3.

Please help!

Hugh

Sorry you\'ve had problems with grough route.

The grough route servers periodically shut down very briefly and restart to preserve data.

These restarts are very short - a matter of seconds - but if you\'re unlucky enough to be trying to send data, eg route information, or access the maps during these periods you\'re likely to encounter an error message.

It\'s always worth trying again a very short time later.

Luke

Thanks for your comment but I freuently get the error message even when creating a route in virgin territory. It will happen as many as six times when creating a 10-mile route. It never used to be as bad as this.

There is a mesage on the bottom left-hand side of my screen which states \'Javascript void\'; is this significant?

Hugh
