Hi,
Some changes to the current version should be coming in late October, with the new version also being made available in a very alpha form.
The new version is being rolled out in pieces, and will remain fully compatible with the old version until it's complete, as it's a substantial remake.
The new version doesn't currently support tablets, but it is our intention to modify it to ensure it does (there's just a few small flaws preventing this at the moment). This is on the assumption you wish to use it on a tablet with an internet connection, there will be no support for using it with downloaded mapping as OS license mapping differently in such cases.
Hopefully that explains it a bit.

Hi,
Is there any update on the update and any news on tablet compatibility?

Hi,
A few people have asked us about the tablet compatibility. We're trying to introduce it to the current version, but that's proving to be a bigger task than we'd envisaged.
Unfortunately I don't think it'll be available for a while yet, probably months.

Hi,
Is Route still being developed and supported ?
It's a great tool and I use it a lot.
Thanks,

We are certainly continuing support for grough route both here in the forums and via our
support@grough.co.uk
email address.
We make regular small changes to the system in response to users' needs and still plan a major upgrade of grough route in the future, but don't yet have firm dates for this.
Thanks for the vote of confidence in the system.

Hi Mordorf,
It shouldn't be too long, the map interface itself now has compatibility with touch and pinching actions etc.
Which type of tablet do you have?
Thanks

No news on tablets yet - sorry.
At the moment we're busy working on the database system and upgrading the mapping resolution for higher-quality printing.
