A climber was airlifted to hospital after a fall on Ben Nevis.
The 51-year-old, from Cumbria, was hit on the head by falling ice while ascending the left Indicator Wall route on the north face of Ben Nevis. He was with one other person when the accident happened.

Members of the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team went to the man’s aid, and a helicopter from HMS Gannet took him to Belford Hospital, Fort William, where he is being kept for observation.
