Caroline Jane Fletcher and Stuart John Goodwill perished in Long Churn Cave, Selside, in the Yorkshire Dales on the night of 27-28 December 2007. Their bodies were recovered by members of the Cave Rescue Organisation from Dam Pool in the lower section of the system.

Mr Goodwill, 33, of Darlington, worked for Skipton civil-engineering company JN Bentley and Ms Fletcher, 28, of Keighley, was an employee of an associated company. They worked together on a waste and sewerage project near Bradford.

The inquest, before coroner Geoff Fell, will open tomorrow, 15 May, at 10.30am at Skipton Magistrates Court, North Yorkshire.
