A Three Peaks Challenge walker was airlifted from Snowdon after suffering exhaustion.

The man, aged 35, from Southport, Lancashire, was rescued by a helicopter from RAF Valley on Anglesey, and flown to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor. He had also suffered a minor leg injury in the incident yesterday, Monday. The Three Peaks challenge involves tackling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in succession.
The same Sea King helicopter had earlier gone to the aid of a man who had fallen on Tryfan. The 60-year-old sustained head, chest and arm injuries when he fell about 6m (20ft) below Bwlch Tryfan. Members of the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team went to his aid before he was taken by the helicopter to hospital in Bangor.
- A Wirral man died while walking in Snowdonia today. The 72-year-old collapsed on Moel Faban near Bethesda, complaining of chest pains. Ten members of the Ogwen Valley MRT went to his aid and he was airlifted by the RAF Valley Sea King to Ysbyty Gwynedd but pronounced dead.
