A coroner has recorded a verdict of accidental death on a walker who died on a north Wales mountain.

Roman Deans died from multiple injuries after falling while making his way down the east face of Tryfan in April. Mr Deans, 24, a Canadian national living in Broughton, Flintshire, probably fell while coming down the mountain, coroner Dewi Pritchard-Jones said.

He said Mr Deans, who worked at the Airbus factory, was well equipped and was a careful walker.

His body was found by members of the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation on the 915m (3,002ft) Snowdonia mountain and flown by RAF Sea King helicopter to the Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor. It may have lain on the mountain for up to four days before being found after he was reported missing by friends who discovered his car near the mountain.
