A climber has died after a fall in Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands.

Police were alerted at 4.55pm today to the incident, which happened in a gully in the Hidden Valley near the Three Sisters. Another man was taken to Belford Hospital, Fort William, after being injured.

A spokesperson for the Northern Constabulary said: “The initial report was that two persons were involved.

“Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team and Police attended and following rescue efforts it has been reported that one of those involved has sustained fatal injuries.”
