Isles at the Edge of the Sea charts a journey across 18 Hebridean islands

Three lucky grough readers have won a copy of Jonny Muir’s tale of a trip through the Hebrides.

The three correctly answered our competition question to win their own copy of Isles at the Edge of the Sea.

Wayne Howes of Gravesend, Kent; Claire Sanderson of Barnston, on the Wirral; and Katherine Coldicott of Walsall, in the West Midlands each correctly said Jonny Muir hopped across 18 different Hebridean islands on his trip.

The book is an account of Jonny’s battles with drizzle, mist, whisky hangovers, thunderstorms, gales, a flooded tent and naturally, the enemy of all summer Scotland tourists, the midge, as he tackles two tough fell races, one half marathon, and the ascent of the hardest munro of all: the Inaccessible Pinnacle.

Details of how to order a copy of Isles at the Edge of the Sea are on the Sandstone Press website.
