Coniston, venue for Stuart Maconie's talk

A broadcaster, music presenter and author will present an evening of entertainment to help raise funds for a mountain rescue team.

Stuart Maconie, a BBC6 Music presenter and keen walker, will give a talk based on his latest book Hope and Glory next month, to help Coniston Mountain Rescue Team.

Mr Maconie, who has summited all 214 Wainwright summits, is also the author of Cider with Roadies, Pies and Prejudice and Adventures on the High Teas.

He will deliver his talk at the Coniston Institute in the Lake District on Saturday 10 March.

Tickets for the event cost £9.50 including refreshments and bookings can be made by email.
