Outdoor enthusiasts are being invited to meet guidebook authors and sample malt whisky at an event in July.

Cicerone is launching three new books on the Hebridean isles at a Cotswold store in Partick, Glasgow.

Mike Townsend, Richard Barrett, Peter Edwards, authors respectively of Walking on Uist and Barra, Cycling in the Hebrides and Walking on Rum and the Small Isles will be joined by Dan Bailey, the author of recently published Great Mountain Days in Scotland, and bestselling Scotland’s Mountain Ridges.

Also on offer will be whiskies from the Jura distillery at the event on 7 July.

Visitors to the store will have the chance to win free guidebooks and a bottle of Jura Superstition whisky. A special Scottish books and maps promotion will also be running in the store.

The Cicerone book launch will take place between 2pm and 5pm at Cotswold Outdoor, West End Retail Park, 60 Crow Road, Partick.
