Naked Rambler Stephen Gough pleaded not guilty to a breach of the peace when he appeared in court today.

Gough, 53, of Eastleigh, Hampshire, stood naked in Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court and denied the charge he had walked naked close to a children’s play area in Townhill, Dunfermline, on Friday.

Gough, who represented himself at the hearing before Sheriff Mungo Bovey, pleaded not guilty to conducting himself in a disorderly manner and committing a breach of the peace.

He made no application for bail and was remanded in custody.

A trial date of 23 August was set by the sheriff.
