Police have named the missing walker at the centre of a major search in the Scottish Highlands.

John King has not been seen since he set off for a walk on Buachaille Etive Mòr on Tuesday.

The search for the 63-year-old, from Bishopbriggs in East Dunbartonshire, entered its third day today.

Glencoe and Lochaber Mountain Rescue Teams were helped today in the search of the Glencoe mountain by members of the Search and Rescue Dogs Association.

Police Scotland repeated their plea to any walkers who have been in the area and who might have information about Mr King, who was believed to be carrying a red rucksack, to contact them on 101.
