The girl was injured above the derelict Ingleborough shooting box

A walker was airlifted from one of Yorkshire’s Three Peaks after suffering head injuries in a fall.

The 17-year-old girl was on Ingleborough on Friday when the incident happened.

The Cave Rescue Organisation was called out about 11.45am and paramedics treated the teenager at the site, above the shooting hut at The Allotment, between the summit and Sulber.

Team members then helped her to an air ambulance which flew her to hospital for further treatment.
