A walker who died after falling above the Devil’s Kitchen on Glyder Fawr has been named as David March, 36, of south London.

Mr March fell more than 300ft from the mountain last Saturday, landing near a party of walkers making their way down the hillside.

Chris Lloyd of the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation said the walker did not survive his injuries after a fall of up to 100m.

Mr March, described as an experienced walker, was a studio manager for the BBC World Service.
