Police are appealing for sightings of a walker who they believe may have gone missing in the Ben Alder area.

Police Scotland said they have concerns for the missing man who has not returned to his car after heading out from the Loch Rannoch area in Perthshire.

A spokesperson said: “Although an experienced hillwalker there has been no contact made with him for several days and we are keen to speak with any persons who may have been in the area, particularly the area around Ben Alder, who may have seen or spoken to the male.”

The walker, from Northern Ireland, is described as 5ft 6ins (168cm) tall, of slim build and with grey hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any police officer.
