Bosses at one of Scotland’s ski resorts are looking at the possibility of building chalets and huts to accommodate outdoors enthusiasts.

Nevis Range on Aonach Mòr in Lochaber is asking snowsports fans, mountaineers and mountain bikers for their views on providing accommodation at the centre.

As well as its ski runs, the resort provides easy access for winter climbers using the gondola cable car to reach routes on the flans of the mountain. The centre is also a major mountain biking venue.

Nevis Range is collaborating with the University of the Highlands and Islands’ centre for recreation and tourism research to gauge demand for accommodation.

An online survey asks how much people would be prepared to pay for bunkhouses, cabins, chalets or even tepees at the resort.

Another idea being touted by bosses is running a shuttle bus between Fort William and the Aonach Mòr centre, near Spean Bridge.

Outdoor enthusiasts can take part in the online survey on the Nevis Range website.
