Ted Jackson, whose body was found in North Harris
Police have confirmed the identity of the walker whose body was found on Harris.
Ted Jackson’s body was discovered by rescuers on Monday after an extensive search involving Hebrides Search and Rescue, Coastguard officers and police dog handlers.
The 55-year-old, of Preston, Lancashire, was reported missing after setting off on the path between Maraig and Urgha in North Harris.
Mr Jackson had gone to the Western Isles for a walking holiday.
