A family group who went missing while walking on the Isle of Skye was found safe and well.

The 40-year-old man and his two children got lost walking between Kinloch Lodge and Kylerhea yesterday.

Skye Mountain Rescue Team was called out by police about 4pm to search for the three walkers, on the route south of Kyleakin.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “20 members of the mountain rescue team responded to this callout which resulted in the party being traced safe and well.”
