Police have named the walker whose body was found on a mountainside in Glen Etive at the weekend.

Martin Livingstone, 55, of Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, was reported missing after going walking on Ben Starav.

His body was found on Sunday afternoon in Coire Lotha on the 1,078m (3,537ft) munro after an extensive search involving Glencoe, Lochaber and Oban Mountain Rescue Teams, Search and Rescue Dogs Association members and Sea King helicopters from RAF Lossiemouth and HMS Gannet.

Mr Livingstone’s body was flown to Fort William by helicopter after it was spotted by the crew of the Royal Navy Sea King.
