The injured woman was brought down to Patterdale

A walker was rescued after injuring herself on a Lake District fell.

Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called out about 2.45pm and was joined by Penrith team members when the walker suffered a suspected broken ankle.

The woman was treated at the scene at Miresbeck and taken to the Patterdale team’s headquarters.

She was then transferred to an ambulance.
