Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team was in action today with another search in the Steall Gorge, where two walkers have gone missing recently.

The latest search was for a collie dog called Kai, which fell into the gorge after falling off the path.

A team spokesperson said: “Despite abseiling into the gorge and searching the river bank we were not able to find any sign of the dog. It was a challenging location which we covered as best we could without putting team members at risk.

“Hopefully the dog has managed to get out of river and made own way down glen.”

The team appealed for walkers in Glen Nevis to be on the lookout for the dog.
