The Snowdon Ranger youth hostel is one those offering the deals

A hostelling charity is offering budget breaks for families during the summer holiday.

YHA has 38 venues in areas ranging from Snowdonia, the Lake District and Peak District to city centres.

Prices start at £29 a night for a three-bed family room up to £49 for a room sleeping six people.

Since 2011, YHA has invested more than £3m in its network of hostels, with many now boasting contemporary interiors, private en-suite rooms, bars and restaurants.

YHA (England and Wales) also offers fully equipped self-catering facilities in all its youth hostels which can be used by guests at no extra cost.
