The walker was on the track leading from Kingsdale to Scar End

A walker was rescued after injuring his leg when he slipped on a track in the Yorkshire Dales.

The 47-year-old was walking on the route between Kingsdale and Twistleton Hall near Ingleton today, Sunday, when he suffered a painful injury to his knee and leg.

The Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation was called out shortly after 1pm and went to the walker’s aid.

A team spokesperson said: “He was very cold and, after the leg was splinted and he was given pain relief, he was taken by CRO Land Rover to be handed over to paramedics and transported to hospital in their road ambulance.”
