Terence Kilbride has been found safe and well

An outdoors enthusiast missing in Aberdeenshire has been found safe and well.

Police thanked the public for its overwhelming response after Terence Kilbride was reported missing.

The disappearance of the 48-year-old, originally from Warrington in Cheshire, caused concern because of the severe weather the area has been experiencing. Police said Mr Kilbride, who was known to spend time in the outdoors, could have been camping in Deeside.

He was found in Aberdeen, Police Scotland said.

A spokesperson said: “The public are thanked for their assistance in tracing him. We received an overwhelming response from the public, which was greatly appreciated.”
