A rescue operation is taking place on a Highland munro.

Police said two walkers reported they were in difficulties on Ben Wyvis in Easter Ross.

A Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Stornoway joined mountain rescue teams today in the operation.

The 1,046m (3,432ft) mountain lies north-west of Dingwall.
