Police in Snowdonia are appealing for information after a bothy was vandalised.

The window and door of the Arenig Fawr shelter near Bala were damaged sometime between 4 and 7 July.

The small, three-person shelter is in the care of the Mountain Bothies Association.

It is available for members of the public to use free, in accordance with the Bothy Code.

Police Community Support Officer Iwan Roberts of North Wales Police said: “It is disappointing that someone has damaged this building in this way.

“We would appeal to anyone who has information relating to the incident to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number RM13015623.”
