Have you lost a piece of climbing gear on Britain’s highest mountain?

Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team said a technical ice-axe was found on the North Face of Ben Nevis.

The team is keen to find the owner to eliminate them from its continuing search on the mountain for missing climbers Rachel Slater and Tim Newton of Bradford, West Yorkshire.

The axe was found below The Shroud and Boomers Requiem this week.

A team spokesperson said anyone who has lost the gear is asked to report this to Police Scotland on 101, asking for Fort William Police. Alternatively, the owner, or anyone who knows who the owner is, can leave a message on the Lochaber MRT Facebook page.
