A group of campers suffering from the cold was rescued in the early hours of the morning.
The four called for help from the Bealach a’ Mhaim between the summits of The Cobbler and Beinn Narnain in the southern Highlands.
Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team was alerted at 4am on Saturday as the campers were suffering in the cold, wet conditions on the col, 650m (2,133ft) up on the hill.
A team spokesperson said: “They were unable to descend in the darkness due to the lack of torches. The team despatched four members to the site.
“They helped the campers pack and walked them off the mountain in the early morning light.”
Members of the Police Scotland Mountain Rescue Team were also involved in the rescue.

01 September 2014Couldn't agree more Heidi.
Being a member of an MRT it's so frustrating when this kind of call-out arises. Being cold and wet and possibly even lost isn't a sufficient reason to call MR. IMHO (and not an officlal MREW view) there needs to be a medical emergency or threat to life or a genuine concern for safety before MR are called.
Unlees this incident has been misreported (and there was something else going on), these guys should have been left out there to sort themselves out in the morning.
This sort of incident just send the wrong message out: "if you're cold, wet, a little tired, not too sure were you are, maybe a little hungry, ill equiped and under prepared; don't worry, MR will come and get you!"

01 September 2014Funny how they always seem to have the gear and ability to call for rescue.

01 September 2014Don't call the MRT unless your life is at risk.
These guys are volunteers and do not need to be dragged out of bed to help people who are a little bit uncomfortable - THINK ABOUT IT - CAN YOU SURVIVE ANOTHER HOUR OR TWO BEING A BIT COLD & WET????
