A renowned landscape photographer will help a mountain centre celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Colin Prior will deliver a Mountains of Inspiration presentation at the Perth Concert Hall to mark the milestone for the Centre for Mountain Studies.

The photographer has also provided scenes for the centre’s 10th anniversary report. The centre is part of Perth College University of the Highlands and Islands.

The Bellshill, Lanarkshire-based artist said: “I recognise the environmental importance of the projects which the CMS are supporting and want to contribute to their efforts.

“My passion for photographing mountain ranges allows me to connect with dramatic and powerful landscapes, frequently involving treks and overnight camping expeditions.

“To capture the perfect image, I need to immerse myself in the mountain’s unique atmosphere, for which I have a great deal of admiration and respect.”
