The women were found above Crummack Dale on Ingleborough

Three walkers were rescued after getting lost on one of Yorkshire’s Three Peaks.

Members of the Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation were alerted at 10.45pm on Saturday after the women contacted emergency services to say they had got lost while descending from Ingleborough towards Horton in Ribblesdale.

Two handlers and animals from the Search and Rescue Dogs Association joined CRO members in the search and the three women were found above Crummack Dale.

The rescuers transported the walkers off the hill.
