Rob Jebb confirmed his undisputed position at the top of the Yorkshire Three Peaks roll of honour with a sixth consecutive win in the gruelling cyclo-cross race this weekend.

Rob finished in a time of 3 hours 0 mins and 56 secs, beating his 2005 time by 35 seconds. His victory in the 61km challenge comes five months after crossing the line first in the Three Peaks fell race.

First woman home in Sunday’s cyclo-cross event was Isla Rowntree, who finished in a time of 4 hours 4 minutes 2 seconds.

Jebb, 31, of Staveley, Cumbria, was taking part for the 12th time. He finished nine minutes ahead of second-place Dave Collins, despite taking a tumble which resulted in a cut knee coming down from Ingleborough. Jebb’s double win in the running and cycling races two years running was also achieved by Keighley man Andy Peace ten years ago.

More then 400 competitors started the race, which climbs over Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent.
