Are you a fit and keen climber or hillwalker who fancies a trip to Argentina?
You could also meet ill fated Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond but don’t expect to get much in the way of sightseeing. You’ll be leaping about in a big kids’ playground and getting wet.
Yes, the BBC wants to hear from mountain types who would like to audition for its Total Wipeout programme, where grown men and women jump around on inflatables and tackle an extreme obstacle course.
As the Beeb put it: “Total Wipeout is all about having fun and trying to complete one of the toughest courses on TV! You may have seen it on Saturday nights on BBC1 presented by Richard Hammond.”
The appeal was made to the Mountaineering Council of Scotland, but anyone who is fit enough can apply.
The BBC spokesperson continued: “We are really keen to get some climbers involved with the show and thought you may be able to help spread the word amongst your members.”
The show is produced by Endemol for the corporation. It is shot in Buenos Aires, but producers warn: “We have a very busy schedule while recording the programme in Argentina. Please do not apply if your main motivation is a free trip to Buenos Aires as you won’t get to see much of it unfortunately!”
You’ll need at least nine months’ worth of passport validity still to run, all your jabs up to date and be over 18.
Details of how to apply are on the BBC website.

02 March 2009Mmmm...should MCoS be participating in this? I mean, It's not held in Scotland and what about the Global warming aspect of travelling to Argie by jet in the first place -> great advert for nature!
If the producers want lots of water, mountains and fields surely Scotland which has a "few" of these items could accommedate them.
