Adrian Park

Police have again expressed their concern for a man who went missing from his home more than two weeks ago.

Adrian Park is known to be a keen walker and Central Scotland Police are appealing to anyone in the outdoors community who may have spotted him to get in touch. The Blanefield man was last seen on 1 March in his van in Milngavie, the north Glasgow suburb at the start of the West Highland Way.

Inspector Brian Sharkey, who is leading the search, said: “We have carried out extensive searches of the surrounding area in difficult terrain including forest areas and hills.

“I urge members of the public to check their outhouses in case Adrian has taken shelter. His family all miss him and want to know that he is safe and well. He is not in any trouble and they just want his safe return.”

Police have distributed photographs of the missing man to bothies and youth hostels along the West Highland Way in the hope they may jog someone’s memory. They believe there is a possibility Mr Park is somewhere on the long-distance route. He is a keen outdoors enthusiast who has also visited Spean Bridge in Lochaber in the past.

Mr Park is described as 5ft 11in (1.8m) tall with collar-length brown hair and a moustache. He is believed to be wearing a black The North Face jacket, black polo neck top and grey walking trousers with grey and brown trainers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Central Scotland Police on 01786 456000. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
