A man was rescued from Britain’s highest mountain early this morning after being taken ill.
Members of the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team were airlifted on to Ben Nevis by a Sea King helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth. Three rescuers found the man after being alerted to his plight about 1am today, Friday.
A spokesperson for Northern Constabulary said: “Following a short search, the casualty was located and taken off the hill to the Belford Hospital, Fort William. He was treated for hypothermia by medical staff and remains under observation.”
