Police are appealing for information after the body of a walker was found at the foot of cliffs.

The North Wales Police helicopter spotted 47-year-old Andrew Parvin’s body on the north side of the Great Orme near Llandudno yesterday morning.

The Deganwy man had been reported missing from the family home on Monday night. His body was recovered by the Coastguard at around 10.30am.

Inspector Mark Cartmell said: “We are appealing for information from anyone who might have been on the Great Orme on Sunday afternoon and either saw or spoke to Mr Parvin.

“He was described as slim build, dark hair in his late forties, wearing dark coloured puffer type walking jacket, khaki trousers and grey hiking boots.”

Inspector Cartmell added: “Police inquiries have confirmed the identification and the North West Wales coroner has been informed.

“A post mortem is due to take place later today.”
