Craig Williams denies a charge of dangerous driving on 3 September

Police have charged a man with dangerous driving after a second incident in which an off-road vehicle was found on the summit of Wales’s highest mountain.

North Wales Police said a 39-year-old man was charged last night with driving a motor vehicle dangerously and driving a vehicle on common land or moorland or land not part of a road.

The charges relate to the discovery of a maroon Vauxhall Frontera behind the Hafod Eryri building at the 1,085m (3,560ft) summit on Thursday, 29 September.

Police said the man has been bailed to appear before Caernarfon Magistrates on 4 November.

  • Craig Williams, 39, of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is due to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court for a committal hearing on 2 December, charged with dangerous driving, and driving a vehicle on common land or moorland or land not part of a road on 3 September on Snowdon.

Mr Williams, a freelance vehicle recovery agent, denies the dangerous driving charge.
