Zoe Brookes laces up her Fellmasters with Sam Kellie of the DofE Award

Boot brand brasher has received the seal of approval for one of its models from the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

The Fellmaster GTX boot has made it on to the official DofE kit list for participants undertaking its expeditions.

The Fellmaster GTX was launched in March last year. The youth charity’s team independently tested the footwear before placing it on its recommended list for young people tackling their bronze, silver and gold awards.

The progressive levels entail two-, three- and four-day ventures respectively, so correct footwear is essential for those taking part, aged between 14 and 24.

Zoe Brookes, marketing manager at brasher, said: “This is a prestigious accolade for our new Fellmaster GTX hiking boot to be included on the official DofE expedition list, and will introduce brasher to a whole new walking audience.

“We look forward to working more closely with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in the future and helping young people to achieve their goals in life through participation in outdoor activities.”
