The Stornoway Coastguard helicopter joined the search for the walkers

Two walkers who were reported missing overnight in the Cairngorms have been found safe and well.

Three mountain rescue teams joined the search for the pair, from Norfolk, along with members of the Search and Rescue Dogs Association and a Coastguard helicopter from Stornoway.

The walkers failed to return from a trip on Friday and Northern Constabulary said the Cairngorm, Braemar and RAF Mountain Rescue Teams were involved in the search, which ended this morning when the pair were found.
