A couple were rescued after getting lost on a Snowdonia hill.

Aberglaslyn was called out about 9pm yesterday after the pair, who were walking with their dog called for help from Craig y Llan, near Beddgelert.

A team spokesperson said: “The pair had been out walking in the area of Mynydd Sygyn, and had become disorientated and unable to find their way down.

“Following over two hours of attempting to locate a way down, they contacted the team for assistance.

“The team deployed a Land Rover ambulance and nine team members to the incident from our base at Porthmadog.

“Fortunately, an experienced team leader was walking in the area at the time and was able to traverse to their location.

“The pair were then lead to safety and the waiting team at the foot of the hill at Beddgelert.”
