Europe’s outdoor manufacturers are gathering at the annual gearfest that is OutDoor at the moment – the venue where brands reveal what’s going to appear in the shops next year.

Swedish brand Fjӓllrӓven is unveiling its new additions to the Keb collection at the Friedrichshafen show.

The company describes it as a technical range of high-performing, hybrid clothing. “All Keb garments are designed for high-intensity treks across difficult terrain,” Fjӓllrӓven said.

“Optimised for maximum freedom of movement, the Keb garments are made from a combination of Fjӓllrӓven’s legendry durable and adaptable G-1000 and flexible polyamide stretch fabrics.

“G-1000 provides protection against wind and light rain while the stretch areas offer increased mobility and effective ventilation.

“For spring-summer 2014, Fjӓllrӓven has extended the range with several new coordinating products including a new Keb Vest made from the winning combination of environmentally-friendly G-1000 Eco and stretch fabrics.

“Other new additions include the new women’s Keb Jacket W as well as the Keb Gaiter Trouser. Combining the practical features of the award-winning Keb trousers the new Gaiter Trousers have a zip-off bottom that can also be used as gaiters.”

Fjӓllrӓven will also introduce the next generation of its Kånken backpack.

The Kånken No2 forms part of Fjӓllrӓven’s range of premium Numbers packs.

It combines the original backpack’s design with a new construction made from ultra-durable G-1000 heavy-duty fabric.

“Available in a selection of attractive colours, the Kånken No2 is finished with high-quality leather trim and a leather logo,” a company spokesperson said.

“Lined with G-1000 Lite, the Kånken No2 features a removable seat pad covered with G-1000 as well as convertible straps that allow you to carry the bag as a backpack or in your hand.

“Being made from G-1000 means that as well as being incredibly hardwearing, the Kånken No2 can also be impregnated with Greenland wax to increase its water-resistance.”
