The walker fell on the descent of Ingleborough

A solo walker was rescued from one of Yorkshire’s Three Peaks after members of the public found her following a fall.

The 65-year-old woman injured her shoulder and arm when she fell on the steep descent between Ingleborough’s summit and Chapel-le-Dale today.

The Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation was called out at 12.40pm and volunteers from the team went to the scene.

She was treated by rescuers then stretchered down to one of the CRO’s vehicles near Braithwaite Wife Hole.

The injured walker was taken to an ambulance waiting at the Hill Inn, Chapel-le-Dale.
