Iain Nesbitt has taken over the role of team leader with Dundonnell MRT

Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team has a new leader.

Iain Nesbitt was elected to the post of team leader at the organisation’s annual meeting last weekend.

He replaces Donald MacRae, who stood down recently after three years in the post.

Mr Nesbitt of Maryburgh, works as a forester and has been a deputy team leader for the past five years. He joined the volunteer rescue team in Wester Ross in 2002.

He said: “I feel very honoured to have become the new team leader for Dundonnell and look forward to working with all our partner rescue agencies.”
