A climber was injured in a fall from a North Yorkshire crag.

The man fell about 6m (20ft) from Almscliff Crag south-west of Harrogate yesterday.

Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association was called out about 7.10pm yesterday to the crag, near North Rigton.

Team members and ambulance staff treated the climber for his injuries before stretchering him to a waiting ambulance.

The rescue involved 12 team volunteers.
