The British Mountaineering Council has helped restore a climbers’ path under the imposing limestone Kilnsey Crag in the Yorkshire Dales.

Local contractor John Webber built the path, which is under the crag’s Dihedral Wall. Access and Conversation Trust funds were used, which involved installing stepped wooden revetments – whatever they may be.

Natural England was consulted and the Yorkshire Dales National Park ranger service helped out. The farmer who owns the site agreed to the work being carried out.
