A man has died after falling from Sharp Edge on Blencathra.

North West Ambulance Service was alerted that a man had taken a long fall from the ridge, a grade-one scrambling route.
Members of the volunteer mountain rescue team were joined by the crews of the Great North Air Ambulance Service and the Coastguard helicopter from Humberside in the operation.
A Keswick MRT spokesperson said: “Helimed 58 [from the GNAAS] were able to confirm the exact casualty location and then airlifted a number of team members to the start of the ridge.
