The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has launched a Getting Active section to its site, to encourage visitors to do something physical in the Dales, whether it’s a gentle stroll, a fell run or a stint of rockclimbing.

Mark Allum, the authority’s access project officer, said: “With summer coming, there really is no excuse not to get active in the Dales.

“There is something for everyone – all in the fresh air in some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK. What more could you ask for?”

The new section can be found in the ‘Enjoying’ section on the YDNPA website .
