The body of a missing Scottish hillwalker has been found by a member of the public.

George Borthwick, 83, had been missing since Sunday. He was found on the edge of Loch Faskally about 9am this morning. The loch is near Mr Borthwick’s Pitlochry home.

Search and rescue teams from RAF Leuchars and Leeming took part in the hunt for the pensioner, alongside police and dog handlers. An RAF helicopter was also used.
