LAMM 2007

The event will take place over two days in early June. As always with Mountain marathons, the organisers are being coy about the exact location, saying only that it will take place three hours’ drive from Glasgow and two hours from Inverness.

There’s a scattering of munros and corbetts and the venue is described as one of the classic mountain areas of the Scottish Highlands.

Organiser Martin Stone is warning would-be competitors to get their entries in early, as the event fills to capacity.

The LAMM will continue last year’s weather eye on its environmental impact, with all competitors being asked to consider the impact their journey has on the natural environment. Last year’s entrants were asked to add a voluntary offsetting contribution with their entry fee. 466 out of 517 teams chipped in, raising £582 for the Climate Care Trust, which was matched by the organisers.

Information on the LAMM, and how to enter, are on the event’s website.
