Forest workers made a gruesome discovery in a forest near the West Highland Way.
A decomposed body was found in a tent in a forest between Bridge of Orchy and the Inveroran. Police carried out forensic tests on the remains, which they believe may have been there for some years.

They are now checking missing persons’ records, but they say there appear to be no suspicious circumstances. The macabre discovery was made on Friday by workers clearing a path for a walk in the Auch Forest.
It is not clear whether the dead person is male or female. A post-mortem examination will be carried out next week in Glasgow.
