Tryfan, with Heather Terrace running diagonally up its eastern face

A walker was airlifted from Tryfan after a fall on Heather Terrace.

The woman was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by a Sea King helicopter from RAF Valley in nearby Anglesey after the tumble, which happened on Monday.

The walker, in her 20s, and from Bristol sustained head injuries in the fall. The incident happened when she was descending the 915m (3,002ft) peak in north Wales.
